It is reported that the Song Qingling scholarship by the State Ministry of education, China welfare and China Song Qingling foundation in 1994 jointly set up for the national middle school and primary school students, the scholarship is the only national level stage of compulsory education in China for nine years. Awarded the Song Qingling scholarship award aims to promote Song Qingling's great spirit, character and sentiment, to encourage young people to become the pillars of ideals, morality, culture and discipline of the motherland, and promote the whole society pay more attention to education and personnel training.
 

According to relevant regulations, Song Qingling scholarship awarded every two years, so far has been awarded the eleven, a total of 9682 primary and secondary school students.
